We are through a transition with success. Our dogs are eating a blend of this and their old food Royal Canin breed specific which got stupid expensive through COViD. I started a transition to this food blended with the old. And the pups had a few loose stools as the got used to it. A few weeks in thiis stopped. They like the blend (I bought a bunch of the Canin during a brief sale). Overall Im pleased with the Purina specialty brand. Kibble size, nuggets and price. My dogs are susceptible to gastric issues on food changes and as mentioned they were all manageable and now over. If needed Ill stop blending and go full Purina.
My dogs totally love this stuff. If you want to follow their recommendation make sure to get the shredded variety
Only 3 stars, I was dissapointed that this bag was mostly kibble and not much shredded meat at all, thats what my dog liked the most, I will think about other options for him at that price.
